VAGABONDS WINES, Spitalfields market

18:30-21:30

Please join us at the end of March for Wine+9: an evening of socialising, networking and wine tasting to welcome the return of Built by Both in 2017. Our aim is simple: enjoy and discover new wine and new faces, getting to know 9 new people by the end of the night!

We want to celebrate the fantastic year we had in 2016 with all of our supporters, whilst also meeting new people invested in our cause to promote gender parity throughout all sectors of the built environment. Our first event will be held on Thursday 30th March in the basement lounge at Vagabond Wines, under the historic arches of the Old Spitalfields Market.

This event will be a great opportunity to taste a selection of wines with help from the knowledgeable staff at Vagabonds whilst networking with fellow professionals from across the industry. There are limited spaces for the evening, so to ensure you do not miss out, book a ticket now!

Built by Both’s main objective is to inspire young women to embark on careers within the built environment and show credit to those already working in our industry. We aim to promote this initiative via educational experience days for students and networking events for young women to meet inspirational role models. With an emphasis on the current demand for housing in the UK, partnered with a skills shortage and poor representation of women in these roles, we are really excited to inspire the next generation of builders, engineers, architects, planners, developers and more.

We are doing this via a series of Student Experience Days and INSPIRE//NEWORK evenings. We have invited female university students to attend a Student Experience day: with skills workshops from specialists in different sectors of the industry, careers workshops and insight, visits to flagship Barratt London sites, and more.
